IN-DEPTH LABORATORY
AUGUST 15- AUGUST 16
WITH KAROLIN KENT
An exploration of weight, support and regenerativeness
How do we listen to a place to understand it? What is already here – in the ground, the air, the sounds, the light and the movements? And what do we carry with us when we step into relationship with it?

In this ecosomatic lab, we explore the body as a way of paying attention to and getting in touch with our surroundings. With the body’s weight and relationship to gravity as a starting point, we examine how the place works in us and how we work in it. Through observation, listening, sensory awareness, somatic practices and conversations, we explore what happens when we slow down enough to notice what is moving between the body and its surroundings. What can be felt, listened to and followed?
Weight and gravity are forces that constantly carry and shape our lives. By exploring the body’s ability to anchor, regulate and recover, we also open up questions about regenerative cycles. How are the body’s need for support, rest and recovery connected to the soil, ecosystems and society’s need for regenerative processes? What can we learn from the relationships that enable life, growth and resilience?
Together we try different ways to land in our minds and open up for a more responsive and bodily way of being in relation to the place, each other and the living world. We work with simple practices where attention, presence and movement can become tools for exploring what is already happening around us and within us.
Both those who have experience with somatic or bodily practices and those who are completely new are welcome.
